What does it mean to be a volunteer leader?
Many of us have full-time jobs, families, hobbies, etc. With so many other things going on, how do you find the time, energy and brain power to volunteer with a nonprofit or association? Even more, how can we find the time, energy and brain power to make the personal investment a meaningful and worthwhile experience, both for you and the association?
The truth: it’s not easy.
However, we see so many great things that come from those who are truly investing their time and energy to volunteering for a cause. What would life be like without volunteer leadership? We don’t even want to think about that…
For those of us behind the computers in the PUI office, we have a very unique and special opportunity. We touch professionals from many different industries and backgrounds, each bringing their own personal expertise, knowledge, and opinions to the table. You all are like a treasure chest of goodies, and it simply wouldn’t be right of us to keep it all to ourselves. We learn so much from you all every single day, and we want to spread the love.
We thank you for the passion that you bring to the boardroom table. We hope that you will follow our volunteer leadership spotlights and take their insights to heart. We have so much to learn from each other – this is only the beginning.
Enjoy.
